Banded belts consist of several V-belts which are connected to each other via a resilient tie band. The individual belts in the banded belt have the same length and cannot expand in different ways. The connection prevents the belts from twisting sideways or jumping out of the pulley. A banded belt stands out particularly for its even, highly stable power transfer and because it compensates for vibrations and oscillations.
