· For GN-311S, keeping the Ni down to around 40%, this component will improve the plating properties after welding.
· Welded metal is low Ni rather than typical Fe-Ni, so it is more suited to build up welding of cast iron which requires hardness and also enables surface treatment for materials such as hard Cr plating to be easily performed.
